FOB
Rapid, Screening test for
occult blood in feces
The immunological detection of haemoglobin
in stool samples is a well-known,
state-of-the-art method as an aid in the
diagnosis of colorectal cancer.
The FOB tests provide
highest user convenience and
are a very well proven product with
a usual sensitivity of 40 ng/ml and
highly for human haemoglobin.
The kit contains a complete
ready to use equipment
for fast and accurate tests at the
POC or doctors’ office, including
qualitative or semi-quantitative
samplers for stool to give to the patient
for home self sampling.
|

|
|
The long shelf life ( 24
months ) gives
the doctor the time to use the whole kit.
The sensitivity can be also
adapted according to local needs. |

Hb
+
Hb / Hp Complex
Rapid,
Combo Screening test for
haemoglobin and
haemoglobin / haptoglobin
complex in feces
The Hb / Hp complex is a
new revolutionary test for detecting the
haemoglobin/haptoglobin complex in feces.
The complex plays an
important role in recovering haemoglobin
from lysed erythrocytes and is relatively
resistant to acids and proteolytic
degradation.
Consequently Hb / Hp
complexes can be detected even after longer
intestinal passages.
Thus blood, originating
from larger intestinal polyps or upper colon
carcinomas can also be detected. |
 |
|
Hb / Hp complex provides a
significant increase in sensitivity
regarding the identification of colorectal
adenomas and carcinomas.
The combined assay for
haemoglobin ( Hb ) and haemoglobin / haptoglobin
complex ( Hb / Hp ) is therefore an innovative
and very sensitive method for the early
diagnosis of colon carcinomas and larger
adenomas.
The test has a sensitivity of
25ng of free or complexed haemoglobin / ml
and is
100%
specific for human haemoglobin and
human Haemoglobin / Haptoglobin complex.
The kit contains a complete
ready to use equipment for 25 fast and
accurate tests at the POC or doctors’
office, including samplers for feces to give
to the patient for home self sampling.
The long shelf life ( 24
months ) give the doctor the time to use
the whole kit.

Hb
/ Transferrin
Rapid, dual screening test for simultaneous
detection of haemoglobin and transferrin in
feces
This immuno chromatographic dual test ( 3
lines: control, Hb and Transferrin ) detects
both Hemoglobin and transferring protein.
The Transferrin protein has different
interactions from Hemoglobin with the
environment (ph levels, enzymes, and
bacteria) in the digestive tract. It is
believed that Transferrin can survive low ph
( acidic ) environment better and are also
less prone to the breakdown effects of
enzyme, which allows detection of occult
blood that Hemoglobin alone may miss.
|
 |
|
Detecting dual blood proteins can also
reduce the likelihood of prozone effect,
especially for Hemoglobin, which is
about 90% of red blood cell’s dry
weight, thus prozone effect with
Hemoglobin can be a serious factor in
detecting occult blood.
However, by detecting Transferrin, the
Hemoglobin prozone effect can be
reduced.
It has been observed in fact an increase
of 9.7% in sensitivity of the test when
Transferrin is also measured.
The absolute sensitivity of Hb/Transferrin-combo
test is 10ng/ml of Hemoglobin and a
Transferrin detection of 1ng/ml. |

Total
PSA test
For the easy, on site screening of PSA in
capillary blood in less than 10 min.
This test can be used to
identify elevated levels of prostate specific
antigen (PSA), which may be associated with
enlarged prostate (benign hyperplasia of the
prostate) or, in some cases, it may indicate
the possible presence of prostate cancer.
Actually the test of PSA is a
screening test performed routinely in men
over 40 years for prevention, it can be done
in lab, by the Doctor during visit and at
home, as it has CE certification for both
professional and self use.
The test has a sensitivity of 4 ng/ml.

Dual PSA test
For the easy, on site screening of PSA in
capillary blood in less than 10 min.
The Dual PSA uses a
specific mix of antibodies to measure
equally both forms of PSA, Free PSA as well
as PSA-ACT complex form and measures PSA at
3 critical levels:
1) below 4 ng / ml ( or 2.5 ng/ ml upon
request )
2) the suspicious range from the low value
to 7 ng/ml
3) the positive values over 7 ng /ml total
PSA
The test is available on OEM basis ( private
label) for serum/ plasma or for whole blood/
fingertip blood.
