The first home test for H. Pylori detects
antibodies in capillary blood in less than
10 min with a Sensitivity of 95% and a
Specificity of 98%.
H. pylori is widely known in the aetiology
of Type B gastric and peptic ulcers in
humans.
The test is already well known and used in
pharmacies for point of care testing, now it
is possible to offer it in the OTC version
for home test to self check in case of
stomach pain, gastritis symptoms and to
monitor therapy.
